| Queensland Hydraulics Pty. Ltd. have been awarded a contract by Rodney Hunt Company of Massachusetts in the United States of America to manufacture some large bore and long stroke gate actuators. Rodney Hunt Company is the world’s leader in design and manufacture of gates of this magnitude. Mister Tom McAndrew the Vice president of marketing for Rodney Hunt Company visited our Brisbane factory with his Australian agent Mister Allen Peterson of Rubicon Systems Australia Pty. Ltd. to inspect our progress with this contract. | |||

This photograph was sent to us from the American based engineering consulting company acting for the client on the Hinze Dam Project. The contract was accelerated to ensure completion of the Gate Installation to accommodate the exceptional weather conditions that South East Queensland experienced last season (2011). This photograph captures the first successful opening of the gates under operational conditions. |
