Queensland Hydraulics’ record and success in completed works on Weirs and Fishlocks remains unsurpassed. Queensland Hydraulics has completed the works on all Queensland (mainly Sunwater) Weirs and Fishlocks since the 1990’s. On three occasions the project was initially awarded to other contractors, however due to their failings, Queensland Hydraulics were called in to rebuild the Hydraulic/electrical system.

Clare Weir Fishlock, Outlet works & Gates
Queensland Hydraulics deliverables:
- Design, manufacture and install 150 stainless steel hydraulic cylinders to control the 150 flap gates
- Design hydraulic/electrical system and cylinders to control the underflow gates
- Design and supply the hydraulic/electrical system driving and operating the gantry crane
- Design and supply hydraulic/electrical control cubicles
- Re-work pipework in valve pit
- 2019/20 contracted to refurbish the 150 stainless steel cylinders (34 years life) initially supplied and installed by Queensland Hydraulics in 1986
Ned Churchward Weir Fishlock, Outlet works & Gates
Queensland Hydraulics deliverables:
- Design, manufacture and install stainless steel hydraulic cylinders to control the wheelgates and Fishlock gates
- Design, manufacture and install the hydraulic/electrical control cubicles to control the wheelgates and Fishlock gates
- Design and install Fishlock butterfly valves
- Design, manufacture and install the actuation of the Fishlock butterfly valves
- Install leak proof reticulation system
Cedar Grove Weir Fishlock & Outlet Works
Queensland Hydraulics deliverables:
- Design, manufacture and install stainless steel hydraulic cylinders to control the Fishlock gates
- Design, manufacture and install the hydraulic/electrical control cubicle to control the Fishlock and outlet works
- Design and install Fishlock butterfly valves
- Design, manufacture and install the actuation of the Fishlock butterfly valves
